The Christiania jacket, made of skin-soft merino wool, is inspired by the elegance of early 20th-century trends. Adorned with traditional Norwegian patterns, such as the iconic eight-petal rose, decorative roll-up cuffs, and flattering side panels, it combines classic femininity with modern comfort.
Knitted from ultra-soft pure merino wool, this lightweight Norwegian jacket offers natural warmth, breathability, and next-to-skin softness.
Since its launch in 2012, the Christiania jacket has become one of Dale of Norway's most beloved and best-selling styles, and has been among the flagship pieces of our collection for over a decade.
History:
This jacket is named after Christiania, the former name of Oslo, the Norwegian capital. Inspired by Fridtjof Nansen's expedition to the North Pole in 1893, it blends historical influences with timeless design. Launched in 2012, it combines a flattering silhouette and traditional Dale patterns with side panels inspired by early 20th-century fashion.
